She was a 1912 graduate of the General Hospital School of Nursing in Louisville and was a nurse in Monroe County for several years, both as a private nurse and as a doctor's assistant,before becoming a Pharmascist.She worked with the late Dr. George E. Bushong.Born in Monroe Co.,she was the daughter of the late Rowan and Ellen(Maxey) Leslie and a niece of Preston H. Leslie,who served as governor of Kentucky.and then Montana in the 1800's.She was a member of the Tompkinsville Methodist Church. She is survived by four nieces and a nephew.
