Obituary for William Theodore Oxenford, Jr.
William “Bill” Theodore Oxenford, Jr., age 70, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at his home. He was loving husband of Patricia Ann (Kinckiner) Oxenford, with whom he celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary on April 4, 2009.

Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late William T. Oxenford, Sr. and Anna (Wallace) Oxenford.

Bill was a forklift operator for Dana Corporation, Pottstown for 34 years, retiring in 1997. He also served as recording secretary for the U.A.W. for two terms. He was an avid Phillies, Eagles and Notre Dame fan. Bill enjoyed cooking. He was a former member of the East End Quoit club. His passion was caring for and spending time with his family, including his Shih-Tzu Yoshi.

Two Sons William T. Oxenford, III of Pottstown, PA
James Brian Oxenford, and his wife Jennifer of Lansdowne, PA

Four Sisters Elizabeth Dischiavi of Syracuse, NY; Jean, wife of Stanley Nawrocki of Pottstown, PA; Shirley, wife of Edward Missimer of Delaware; Catherine, widow of David D’Aiello of Birdsboro, PA.
Seven Grandchildren William T. Oxenford, IV, Colin Montgomery, Mark Moran, Caely Montgomery, Michael Oxenford, Jessica Oxenford and Sophia Grace Oxenford
One Great Grandson Marcus Andrews

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Lynn Oxenford and his sisters, Nancy Oxenford, Ann Judge and Barbara Schlichter.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m.on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received from 9:30-11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
