Peggy Lou Murray, 83, a longtime resident of Throckmorton, TX, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 10:00a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, Throckmorton with Rev. Mike McKinney officiating. Burial will follow services at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton.

Peggy was born April 8, 1936 in Knox Co., to Lucile (Fant) and Hugh Ingram. She was a Majorette for the Greyhound band and she lettered in Basketball. She was active in the community, senior citizens and Red Hat Society. She worked at the ASCS office in Throckmorton for a long time. She was an avid casino goer.

She is survived by her four nephews, Jimmy Ingram and wife Pam of Poolville, Steve Ingram and wife Pam of Ft. Worth, Scott Stubbs and wife Debbie of Wichita Falls, and Carey Wright of Ft. Worth; four nieces, Janet Figueroa and husband Louis of Ft. Worth, Terri May and husband J.W. of Grandbury, Marcie Williams of Wichita Falls, and Staci Williams and husband David of Wichita Falls; Several great nieces, nephews, and all of her loving friends and classmates from Throckmorton.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucile Ingram; father, Hugh Ingram; two brothers, Charles and Cecil Ingram; and two sisters, Raye Stubbs and Kaye Helton.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Peggy’s name to: Throckmorton Senior Citizens Center.
