CHARLES R. ELDRIDGE
(1899-1954)
Following an illness of two years, Charles Robert Eldridge, 55, of Sciotoville Rt. 4 Highland Community, died Saturday at his home at 1:30 p.m.
He was a son of Jess and Amanda Trusty Eldridge. He came to this area from Kentucky in 1913, where he was born May 4, 1899. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church and an employee of the William Luther Block Co. He was married to Carrie Hall in 1919.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Scarberry of Sciotoville Rt. 4; five brothers, Lee of Harding Ave., Sciotoville, Walter, Alfred, Haskel and Sam of Sciotoville Rt. 4; a sister, Mrs. Helen Adkins of Sciotoville Rt. 4; and a grandchild.
Preceding in death was a sister.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Pentecostal Church with Rev. Marion Stiltner officiating. Burial will be in the Batterson Cemetery under the direction of Gill Funeral Home. Friends may view the body at the residence.
