John W. Barnes Jr. 70 of Port Orange Florida, formerly of Piscataway and Washington NJ died on Sunday May 12, 2019 in the Hospice Center, Port Orange Fl.

He was born in Phillipsburg NJ on October 27, 1948. He was the son of the late John W. Sr. and Ethel Burd Barnes.

He was retired from the Yale Fork Lift Company in Flemington NJ where he worked in the shipping and receiving department. After retiring, He owned the J & J Auction Services and worked at the Bridgeville Auction Gallery.

John served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1970

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Easton PA, the VFW Post in Flemington NJ and the NJ Auctioneers Association.

He is survived by his son John W III of Hellertown PA, a daughter Jennifer Rubino and her husband Rob of High Bridge NJ, a grandson Wyatt Rubino and three sisters, Joan Templeton in Indiana, Jean Barnes of Annadale NJ and Robin Madsen of Phillipsburg NJ.

Two sisters Marilyn Bocca and Roseann Barnes preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 pm in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11AM in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown NJ.
