Janice Lynne (Knight) Tridle, age 72, passed away September 27, 2015, at Canon Lodge Care Center in Canon City, Colorado. She was born May 12, 1943 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Nathan C. and Frances M. (Crow) Knight. Jan graduated from Widefield High School in 1961 and, after attending Draughon's Business College in Nashville, Tennessee, she began a career in the Secretarial field. For several years, she was employed by Promise Keepers in Denver, Colorado - a position that she dearly loved. While there, she made many life-long friends and enjoyed traveling to conferences in Vancouver, BC, and South Africa. Jan moved to Canon City in 2004 and, before her retirement, was employed by the law firm of Fredrickson, Johnson and Belveal. She met the love of her life and best friend, Robert H. "Bob" Tridle, in 1983. Together, they shared a love of the Colorado mountains and enjoyed dancing to classic country music. Bob preceded her in death in 1990. Jan held a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ and, until health issues limited her mobility, she enjoyed attending weekly services at The Vineyard in Canon City. [Survivor information omitted to protect the privacy of living individuals.] A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2015, at Holt Family Funeral Home Chapel, 806 Macon Ave., Canon City, Colorado, with Pastor Dan'l Hollis of Parker, Colorado, presiding. At her request, Jan's and Bob's ashes will be scattered together, somewhere in the mountains, near a river or stream. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jan's name to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 (https://www.kidney.org)

Jan's and Bob's ashes were placed in the shape of a cross near Halfmoon Creek, between Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive, in Lake County, Colorado, on June 5th, 2016.
