Although her grave remains unmarked
I believe that she rests here in her parents plot alongside her own infant son Emerson Blackburn beneath poured concrete which has now become brittle with age. Monuments were cleaned in April of 2018.

MRS BLACKBURN DIED SATURDAY
Funeral services of Mrs Frances Holmes Blackburn, widow of the late Dr J C C Blackburn, and one of the most beloved women of Atlanta, will be conducted by Dr C B Wilmer at 3 o'clock this afternoon. The services will be held at the residence, 423 Washington Street, and the body will be sent Monday to Barnesville, GA., for interment.
The death of Mrs Blackburn occurred at the home of her son, Robert M Blackburn, shortly after 6 o'clock Saturday morning, and the news was a shock to those who were aquainted with the family.
Mrs Blackburn was born in Barnesville, and was 83 years old. Her parents were Amelia and Josiah Holmes, among the first settlers in Barnesville. She came to Atlanta more than twenty five years ago, and passed a useful and inspiring life.
During her life in Atlanta, Mrs Blackburn became a figure in church work. She was a member of the Woman's Guild, St Luke's Episcopal Church, and was interested in all works relating to the church and the confederacy.
She is survived by five devoted children, John H Blackburn, Barnesville; Benjamin M Blackburn, Wallace Blackburn, Robert B Blackburn, all of Atlanta; and Mrs E B Wilholt, of Grayson.
