Betty Ruth Olfert was born on July 5, 1927 in Mountain Lake to Jacob and Nettie (Schmidt) Olfert. She attended school and graduated from Mountain Lake High School. Betty was united in marriage to Harold King on February 12, 1965 in Litchfield, MN. She worked at numerous drug stores through her 40 year career as a pharmacy tech in Mountain Lake, Litchfield, Bloomington and Eden Prairie, MN. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and of Presbyterian Women. Betty enjoyed traveling, shopping and gardening and was an avid Twins fan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold on March 25, 1993 and one brother, Lloyd.
