On May 9, 2019, Adrienne Renae Spradley, surrounded by the love of her family, was called to her eternal home in Heaven, after a long battle with asthma.

She is survived by her mom and dad Bo and Natasha, her two brothers Jeff and Zach, her Nana and Pawpaw Charles and Sandra, her Papa Stan, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family.

Adrienne had a huge personality and lived life to the fullest. When she was young she enjoyed gymnastics, soccer, T-ball, dance, theater, and beauty pageants.  She adored her brothers, and one of her favorite pass-times was dressing them up in dresses and forcing them to put on “runway shows” for her amusement and also LOVED to try to convince them that they were adopted!  Her brothers looked to up to her, and loved to play along simply because they found joy in seeing her happy. Since the age of 5, every year on her birthday her father would take her on trips to the mall to pick out a special outfit—this memory will forever live on in her father’s heart.

Everyone who knew her,  knew she was a headstrong and stubborn girl. She loved to watch scary movies with her Nana, music (even though it was off the beaten path!), cooking, gaming (she was an avid fan of Kingdom Hearts and Bioshock), and the TV series Dexter.  She loved her pet snakes, and loved to use them to play pranks on others even more. When she loved you, she loved you deep. Her tribe of friends were extremely important to her. All who knew Adrienne knew her mother was her best friend. Their bond was Adrienne’s lifeline,  often times being a tether that kept her sane. She adored children, especially her two Godsons’ Jace and James. She hated other people’s feet but LOVED putting her own on others to aggravate them! The echo of her laughter is what her father will miss the most. Adrienne also loved stealing her father’s T-shirts to sleep in!  Her most memorable family times included summer vacations to San Antonio’s Riverwalk, and especially visiting her favorite restaurant Dick’s Last Resort, where she could hold her own with the sarcasm of the waiters there. We find comfort knowing she will be reunited with her Grandma Shell and Uncle David.

In the wake of such a horrific time of loss, it is important to remember that life isn’t just a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences, but rather it’s a tapestry of events that is God’s ultimate plan.  Many say that children are a gift from God who are only loaned to us, but only for a short time. How much time, we never know? Knowing this, we must commit all things to God, both the good and the bad. Adrienne, we thank you for allowing us to share in your journey.  We love you, and will miss you beyond measure. Your smiles and joyful laugh will forever replay in our minds and hearts. Until we meet again…

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday, May 13, and the funeral service will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, May 14, both held at Niday-Fairmont Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
