Marvin was born April 28th, 1932 in Hallettsville, to the late Herbert John and Angela Marie Chudej Schulte. For decades, the man everyone knew as Sonny stood watch over his family and, like a great oak, weathered any storm that came. Marvin owned and operated his own painting company for over 40 years before his retirement in 1995. Marvin married his love, Dorothy Jo Cordes, November 20, 1953. His passion in life was always family, a man who stopped at nothing to provide and put a smile on everyone's face. Marvin could fix anything and took great pride in doing so. He loved woodworking and inventing contraptions to solve life's little problems, both of which are cherished greatly by his family. Marvin's pastime passion was fishing and enjoying being in nature on the river bank, especially when the fish were biting. "Paw-Paw" had served his family and community with great honor. And now his Lord called to him saying it is time to rest.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Angela Schulte; three infant children; and three brothers-in-law, Fred Taylor, Bob Barker, and Curtis Allen.
