Up until the late 1990's, Judy formerly resided with her family in Bryans Road, Charles County, Maryland. In her later years, she made her home in Saint Leonard, Calvert County, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Robert Adelbert ("Cap") Hungerford and Julia Dent Hungerford of Bryans Road, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Francis Kray (deceased in 1953) and William Eugene Tall, Sr., a retired Maryland State Police officer (deceased in 2009). Judy was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Robert Adelbert Hungerford, Jr., John Dent Hungerford, Esten Hungerford, Brison Hungerford, and David Hungerford. Judy was a retired Maryland state employee where she had served as a Supervisor at the Charles County Maryland Board of Elections.
