Madeline B. (Vandelaare) Paradine, 75, of 231 Springview Drive, died Wednesday in her apartment. She was born in Kalamazoo and moved to Battle Creek many years ago. She was employed as a waitress at Hosh's Grill and Speed's Koffee Shops and retired in 1974. Her husband, Frank Paradine, died in 1968. Surviving are daughters Beverly Flanders of 112 N. 28th St., Patricia Augustine of 134 Barney Blvd. and Charlene Paradine; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a half brother, William Dawson of Golden, Colo.; and half sisters Florence Beller of Pueblo, Colo., and Rena Lutowski of Detroit. A daughter, Deana Harley, died in 1970. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Battle Creek Enquirer 13 March 1986, Page 11
