Uva Elizabeth Ammons, age 89 of Seguin, passed away on May 9, 2019. Visitation will begin on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. with Rev. Gregory J. Nevlud officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City, Texas. Uva was born on January 14, 1930 in Whitesboro, Texas to William Cash and Uva Elizabeth (Jennings) Ainsworth. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Jerry O. Ammons, her parents and her 12 siblings, Howard Ainsworth, Evelyn Haltermann, Dorothy Hackworth, Rudy Maddera, John Ainsworth, Lillie Mae Crockett, Carl Ainsworth, Earl Ainsworth, Minnie Lou Bond, Myra Fern Robinson, William Ainsworth and Kenneth Ainsworth. Survivors include her son, Nick Ammons and wife DeeDee; daughters, Debbie Eads and husband Gerard, and Marsha Long and husband Ken; grandchildren, Tanya Maness and husband Tom, Brandon Eads and wife Brittany, Jason Long, Elizabeth Downey and husband Joshua, and Chad Ammons and wife Caitlyn; great-grandchildren, Benton Downey, Emory Downey, Parker Ammons, Lucas Ammons and Hudson Ammons; sister-in-law, Marjorie Ainsworth; brother-in-law, Ernest Bond; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. Uva’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
