James L. Smith
Funeral service for James L. Smith will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Little Chapel of the Chimes. Mr. Smith died Sunday at a local hospital after an extended illness. He was 46.
He was born December 2, 1910 [sic] in Portland. A graduate of the school of engineering at Oregon State college [now Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon], he had been an employe of the corps of engineers since 1934.
He is survived by his widow, Reonne; a son, James L.; a daughter, Sheryl I., and one sister, Mrs. Julia Patterson, all of Portland.
Entombment at the Riverside [sic] Abbey mausoleum will follow the funeral service.
