Church Point, LA: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Betty Ann Doucet, 71, who passed away at 8:39 AM Thursday, May 9 at her residence. Fr. Ken Domingue, Pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton, LA, will be the celebrant of the Mass with burial immediately following in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.
Betty, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Leo Lejeune and the former Edna Boudreaux. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved shopping on Thursdays.
She is survived by her husband of 53 1/2 years, Sidney Doucet of Church Point; one daughter, Nicole D. Alleman and husband Chad of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Tori Venable and Sydney, Emma and Seth Alleman; one brother, Lyndon Lejeune and wife Nadine of Rayne, LA; special family members, Koury 'Smokey' Lafosse and wife Melissa of Church Point, her nephew and Godchild, Toby Lejeune and wife Cherise of Lafayette, LA and Cynthia Dupre, her Godchild, of Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by her son, Chad Doucet and her parents.
