PORTLAND--Elva Lewis Silvers, 80, 424 W. Main St., a retired farmer and lifelong resident of Jefferson Township in Jay County, died at the Jay County Hospital Monday evening following a short illness.
Survivors include his wife, Flossie Flesher Silvers; two daughters, Mrs. Kelley Stephens, R.R. 5, and Mrs. Russell Morrical, Portland; a son, Royce Silvers, Portland; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Fay Crisler, Muncie, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Portland Moose Lodge and the Powers Station Congregational Christian Church.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Barbara Starbuck officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey. Friends may call at Baird Funeral Home form noon Wednesday to 11 a.m. Thursday.
