Barbara Jene Scraper, 75, died February 24, 2014, at Heritage Center. She was born January 17, 1939, in Stonewall, OK, to the late Sr and Vada Coon.
Barb is survived by her husband of 23 years, Robert (Bob) Scraper; daughters, Kim (Denny) Fowler, of Evansville, Lisa (Marty) Hensley, of Evansville, and Sherry (David) Smith, of Poseyville; stepsons, Steve (Guyla) Scraper and Mike Scraper, both of Evansville; grandchildren, Leslie (Fowler) Walker, Matthew Hensley, Joseph Hensley, Nathan Hensley, Steven Rice, WD Rice, Anthony Smith, Misty (Smith) Yount, Heather (Smith) Waters, Joseph Smith, Joshua Smith, Clifford Scraper, Brandon Scraper and Maria Schmidt; 18 great-grandchildren; and many other loved family and friends.
Barb enjoyed gardening, sewing, arts and crafts, cooking, dancing and singing and spending time with her beloved family most of all especially her great-grandchildren. She was a member of North Park Baptist Church and Daughters of the Nile.
The family would like to thank the staff that cared for her at Horizons Rehabilitations Center. In accordance with her wishes services were held in private and body was donated to the IU School of Medicine.
