Barbara Kay Dixon-Roush “Bobbi Kay”, 78, of Clendenin went home to be with the Lord May 4, 2019 at Hill Crest Center in Wyncote, PA.
She was the daughter of Thelma Joyce Snyder Rule Bowen and the late William Fouche Rule. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, David Dixon and Dewey “Duke” Roush along with her brothers, Hoy Daniel Rule and Roy Stephen Rule.
Bobbi Kay was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She had a long tenure in the insurance industry, beginning with the Travelers Insurance Company and retiring from Clendenin Insurance Agency. Bobby Kay was a graduate of the Clendenin High School class of 1959 and was an active member of the Class Reunion Committee. She was also a member of the Clendenin Library Board and actively participated in the Clendenin Civic and Social activities. She was a lifelong resident of Queen Shoals and Clendenin, West Virginia and loved her family, friends, church, community and West Virginia Mountaineers and Washington Redskins.
She is survived by: son, Victor Dixon and daughter in-law Lynn Dixon; her 5 grandchildren, Allison, Grayson, Morgan, Jack and Daniel along with her great grandson, Noah; her mother, Thelma Joyce Snyder Rule Bowen; sisters, Joyce Gandee, Donna Sue Hall and Joan Bowles.
In lieu of flowers, donations be made in Bobbi Kay’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association Home Office In Memory of Bobbie Kay Dixon 225 N. Michigan Ave. Fl. 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
Bobbi Kay is being transported from Pennsylvania to West Virginia. As long as her flight arrives on time her visitation is planned from 6 PM to 8 PM Friday May 10, 2019 at Matics Funeral Home Clendenin. The funeral will be 11 AM Saturday May 11 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Elkview, WV. Please check the Matics Funeral Home website for any last-minute schedule changes.
