Leonard William Ard of Gettysburg died near Heidlersburg, Pennsylvania, Monday, January 17, 1983.
He was a son of Raymond Ard of Poughkeepsie, New York, and Catherine Graham of Baltimore, Maryland. His wife, Patricia Wyatt Ard, died in 1974.
Leonard was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the US Air Force.
He was survived by his parents, four sons, two daughters. He was also survived by a brother and sister: Richard Ard of Baltimore; Phyllis Cody of Baltimore.
Funeral services were held at the Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, with the Reverend E. Edward Keyser officiating.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.

Rohlers, Maryland.—The wedding of Patricia Rayleen Wyatt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schmidt, this place, and Leonard William Ard, son of Mrs. Catherine Graham, of Baltimore, was solemnized September 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the home of the bride's parents.
The single ring ceremony was performed by Reverend M. B. Heiland, pastor of Rayville EUB charge. The bride wore a navy blue gabardine dress.
Mr. Ard is an employe of Stand Engineering company, Plainfield, New Jersey. The couple will reside at Springfield, Massachusetts.

Patricia Ard was survived by her husband and six children: David, Daniel, Diana, Dean, Debra and Andrew Ard, all at home; two brothers, Raymond Wyatt and James Wyatt, both of Baltimore, and a sister, Miss Ruth Jean Wyatt, of Akron, Ohio.
Also surviving were her father, Foster Wyatt, Doylestown, Ohio, mother, Mrs. Mabel Slemp Schmidt, and stepfather, Walter Schmidt, of Manchester, Maryland.
