Theodore “Ted” Alpha Lussier, age 92, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Grand Itasca Hospital.

Ted was born in 1926 to Arthur and Mary Lussier in Brooks, Minnesota. Ted and Jean Verna Thibert were united in marriage on June 15, 1948. They moved from Brooks, Mn in 1951 to settle in Grand Rapids. Ted worked 16 years for Pickands-Mather Mining Co. at the West Hill and Tioga Pits. He then worked for 22 years with the City of Grand Rapids, retiring as a Parks Supervisor in 1988.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Bernice Bushy, Cora Wicklander, Madonna Asselin, Marjorie Riendeau, Pearl Rivard, and Pamella Bruggeman; and brothers, Leon, Medore, Ralph; and grandson, Paul Butterfield.

He is survived by his two daughters, Cheryl (Dan) Butterfield, and Rayette Olson; six sons, Fr. Keith Bonaventure Lussier, Bradley (Janice Erickson), Kevin, Kerry (Nancy Johnson), Wade (Bonnie), Corey (Kristin) Lussier; sister, Jeane O’Neill; brother, Lavern Lussier; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Cohasset, MN. Fr. Keith Bonaventure Lussier will officiate. Burial will be in Itasca Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN.
