Mrs. Anna Mae Thompson, 74, of 4417 Holly, passed away on Monday, March 5th, at St. Luke's Hospital after a four-week illness. Mrs. Thompson was born in Howardstown, Kentucky, and had lived in the Kansas City area for 40 years. She was a member of the Guardian Angels Catholic Church and of the church's Altar Society. Mrs. Thompson was a Gold Star mother. She was survived by her husband, Samuel C. Thompson; a daughter, Miss Josephine Thompson, of St Louis; a son, James W Thompson, of 4818 Canterbury Road in Fairway; two brothers, Emmanuel Boone and Charles Boone, and a sister, Mrs. Addie Whelan, all of Howardstown; two other sisters, Mrs. Jennie Willet of Louisville, Kentucky, and Mrs. Rosa Johnson, of New Haven, Kentucky; and three grandchildren.

The Rosary was recited on Wednesday evening at the Muehlebach Chapel. Funeral services were held on Thursday morning at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
