Rhea Jones Boyett - 76

Of Lakeland passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Boyett was born in Ty Ty, Georgia to the late AA and Erza Moore Jones on July 19, 1934.

As an adult she met and married the love of her life William Earl Boyett. The Lord graced Mr. and Mrs. Boyett with two daughters Chris and Tina. The proudest moment of Mrs. Boyett's life was the moments she became a grandmother, four times over. Every time one of her adored grandchildren would walk through the back door; her heart's smile would light up the room. She retired from the Lanier County Board of Education as an Administrative Assistant after 30 years of serving Lanier County Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City and the Lanier County Retired Teachers Association.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law Ed & Mattie Boyett, brother Royce Jones, sisters and brothers-in-law, John Sears, Lesley Davidson, Dot Boyett and Charles Howell and Irene Boyett and Paul Smith.

On November 5, 2010 surrounded by family and friends, Mrs. Boyett died at her home. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Earl Boyett of Lakeland, daughters and sons- in-law Chris and David Logan of Ball Ground, GA and Tina and Ben Strickland of Lakeland, four grandchildren Joy Clarkston of Canton, GA, Kelly Strickland of Columbus, GA, Adam and Haley Logan of Valdosta and Brent Strickland of Lakeland, GA. Sisters-in-law Louise Davidson of Bonaire, GA, Doris Sears of Lawrenceville, GA and Betty Sue Jones of Tifton, GA, Uncle and Aunt Rev. Grady and Nona Jones of Tifton, GA, Aunt Margaret Moore Watson of Ty Ty, GA., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Boyett received devoted service from caregivers Jean Brogdon and Janice Nelson of Lakeland, Angie Fender and Michelle Gray with Grace Hospice.
