The former Miss Twitty was born Jan. 15, 1883, in Blodgett. She married Alonzo Acord, who died in 1918. In 1921 she married Frank Gray, who preceded her in death in 1968 (he is buried at Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance). She was a member of Shady Dell General Baptist Church in McGee.
Surviving is a son, Sherman Acord; a daughter, Mrs. Ora Knott; stepson, Alex Gray; brother, Malcom Twittie; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Service will be Wednesday. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston. (although her tombstone is at Sikeston City Cemetery.)
