CAUTHEN, RAYMOND SAMUEL, 83

Ocala - Mr. Raymond Samuel "R.S." Cauthen, age 83, of Lynne, Florida died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Hawthorne Village Nursing Center. He was born in Summerfield, Florida and moved to Lynne, Florida and has lived there for most of his life. He was a grader operator for the State of Florida Road Department for 20 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is a member of the Tin Can Sailors Association and the National Riflemans Association. He loved traveling, reading, writing, building model railroads and was an avid movie watcher. He is survived by his (3) daughters, Barbara Jean Banks of Clancey, Montana, Donna Rae Cowart and Billie Jo Watkins both of Ocala, Florida; his (2) brothers, James Maurice Cauthen of Ocala, Florida and Earl Cauthen of Alachua, Florida; (4) grandchildren and (5) great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his 1st grandson, Joshua Ray Cowart. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2007 at the ROBERTS FUNERAL HOMES, BRUCE CHAPEL WEST, 6241 S.W. State Road 200, Ocala, Florida 34476 with interment to follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pastor James Snell will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, one hour prior to the service time.
