Charlotte was born in Morristown, Vt., on Aug. 14, 1929, daughter to the late Elroy Kenneth and Mary Arvilla (Twombly) Bailey. She grew up in Morrisville and Danville graduating from Danville High School in the Class of 1947.
Charlotte met Neal Blodgett after writing letters to him and other servicemen through Christian Endeavors. Neal and Charlotte moved to Waterford in 1956 and built their home together in 1977. They enjoyed dancing together and shared 63 years together until his death in 2011.
Charlotte worked for the town of Waterford and then at various medical offices in the area until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and knitting prayer shawls. She was very active in church functions, having been a member of the East St. Johnsbury church, the Methodist church, and eventually joining Union Baptist Church in 2014.
She is survived by her three sons; a sister. She was predeceased by her siblings: Marilyn Clifford, Kenneth Bailey, Henry Bailey, Andrew “Homer” Bailey, Barbara Sahlin, Brenda Simpson and Judy Gray.
