He was born Oct. 24, 1907 in Woodville to Edwin and Louise Pagel. Mr. Pagel resided at Rt. 2, Denmark, where he assisted his mother in the operation of a cheese factory and a general store.
Since 1944 he lived In Green Bay and was employed by International Harvester Co. for 25 years until his retirement in 1968.
He married Myrtle Thompson Oct. 5, 1938 at Pine Grove.
Mr. Pagel was a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Viola and Adeline.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Janet) Klann. Glendale, Ariz.; two sons, the Rev. Carl Pagel, Baltimore, Md.; Capt. Paul Pagel, U.S.A.F., Honolulu, Hawaii; five grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Louise Rabe, Green Bay; one brother, Alfred, Green Bay; one sister, Mrs. Edgar (Edna) Kratz, Rt. 2, Denmark.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., after 2 p.m. Sunday. The body will be taken to St. Mark Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. Monday. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Carl Voss officiating. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
