Harry Russell Ade, age 50, of Independence, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018, at his home. Cremation has taken place and Russ will be laid to rest in his hometown in Michigan.

Russ was born March 18, 1968 to Raymond and Sandy Ade in Owosso, MI. He was raised and attended High School in Durand, MI. He graduated in 1986. Russ moved to Independence, KS in 2011. Where he met and lived with his Fiancé, Patty McGuire. Russ worked at various places including Spears, MJ's Burgers and The Yolk. His passion was cooking and the two together enjoyed a hobby of raising Dachshunds. He was a previous member of the American Legion Post 139.
Russ is survived by his children, Haley Ade and Nichole Ade, both of Owosso, MI. Two brothers, Edward Ade of Gladwin, MI, Tracey Ade of Owosso, MI. and a sister, Della Steege of Owosso, MI. Two grandchildren of Owosso, MI and 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren in Maine. Extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Jacob Russell Ade and Hunter Freeman Ade, and by his parents.
