CENTRAL CITY - Paul Edward Burden, 83, of Central City, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 12:51AM at Kindred Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Greenville. Mr. Burden was born October 28, 1935, in Muhlenberg County. He was a saw mill worker and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Burden; daughters Gail Payton and Sherry Arndell; grandchildren James Edward Burden and Vernon Payton Jr.; brothers Charles Burden, Carlton Burden, and Darrell Burden; sister Fredia Whitaker; and parents Shirley and Nancy Burden.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Burden of Central City and Harold Burden of Owensboro; daughters Barbara Hobgood and Martha Grubbs, both of Central City; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Jimmy Burden of Illinois; and sister Leara Owen of Louisville.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 3, 2019, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Wayne Rice officiating. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
