Matilda E. Chittum , daughter of John Sampsell, was born in Weston WV, 4 March 1857. Died at home near Chillicothe MO 22 Sept 1927. She spent many years in Browning. Married Joseph B Chittum 1883.Nine children born, surviving; SALLY SAMPSELL, IDA SCHROCK, EDNA BELL NICKELL, FRANK, BESSIE HALL and FRED.
