"Fred came to Wessington, South Dakota in 1907. He farmed in the Wessington area until 1938 when he retired and moved into the town of Wessington. His wife preceded him in death in 1942. Fred, a Wessington resident, passed away at age 84, in the Huron hospital. Welter Funeral Chapel of Huron in charge of arrangements. Funeral services were held Aug. 15, 1952, at the Community Church at Wessington.

Survivors are five brothers: William and Henry of Lincoln, Neb.; Charles of Rockford, Ill.; Edwin* of Manchester, Ia.; and John of Clear Center*, Kansas." [sic]
