After completing high school, Henry served his country from 1942 - 1945, earning the rank of Corporal in the United States Army. In August 1946, he wedded Anna Lee, a union which produced three cherished children: Glema, Pam and Bill. Henry provided for his family by working as a machinist at the Fernald Nuclear Foundry and Visteon in Connersville. He was a member of Gortner Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Henry was very patriotic and loved all sports, especially softball, canoeing and catfish spooning. Mr. Ott died on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 1:20a.m. at Heritage House in Connersville.
Henry's memory will be cherished by his children: Glema Jennings of Felicity, Ohio, Pam (Emery) Kozak of Federal Way, Washington, and Bill (Carol) Ott of Centerville, Indiana; his grandchildren: Joey Jennings, Trisha Banks Creed, Regan Banks Chester, Amy Ott Hunt, and Brad Ott; great-grandchildren Collin Ott, Aubrey Hunt, Avery Webb, Ethan and Seth Chester, McKenna and Spencer Creed, Annie and Jayce Jennings. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna, brothers Everett and Jude Ott, and sons-in-law Leroy Banks and Randy Jennings.
Friends may visit with the family Monday, July 13, 2015, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville, with military honors provided by Bernard Hurst Post 77 American Legion, Brookville
