After Her Daddy died in 1954, she cared for her Mother/Granny until her death in 2003. She was never married and lived to help her family. She was a devout Christian and loved attending church services and enjoying the company of her church family. Her drink of choice was Dr. Pepper and Boost. She was once a member of the singing group Sweet Adaline’s. She will be laid to rest with her daddy and mother.
Vernell was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Betty Bailey; and one brother, Roy Bailey.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Bailey; niece, Wendy Lesage and her husband, Tracy; nephews, Ronnie Bailey, Russell Bailey, Larry Bailey, Garry Bailey, Timmie Bailey and Leslie Bailey; and numerous great nephews and nieces.
Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster.
