Scott A. Potten, 52, of Newton, passed away Saturday, July 11th, 2015 at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, Fredon Township, following a courageous 4 year battle with colon cancer. Scott was born in Dover, and has been a resident of Fredon since 2003 and formerly of Randolph Township.

He was the owner of Redwood Drywall, Fredon Township.

Scott was a member of the Indian Mountain Rod and Gun Club. He could be best described as a devoted family man. He loved everyone dearly. He also had a special passion for the outdoors, where he loved to fish, hike, and find adventure in some of the most unlikely places. His patience teaching others and easy going personality will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Joyce of 21 years; two children Kyle and Jessica both of Fredon Township; his parents Herb and Mary Ann Potten of Albrightsville,PA; his twin brother Keith and his wife Colleen of Ballston Lake, NY and three sisters Allison George of Rockaway, Kelly Stager and her husband Charles,and Tracy Potten both of PA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Thursday, July 16, 2015, 3:00 - 5:00 PM and 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).

Funeral Mass Friday, July 17, 2015, 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, Andover. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd R.C. Church Cemetery, Andover.
