Mrs. E.L. Carter of Phillips died late yesterday afternoon following a five weeks' illness. Carter is superintendent for the Phillips pipeline company and the family has resided in Phillips the last four years.

Survivors are her husband, three children, Jack Harrison Ellis, Everett Lewis Carter, Rexine Carter; mother, Mrs. Thompson, two brothers, Ed P. Thompson, Phillip Thompson, all of East Point, Georgia and a sister, Mrs. Rex McRoy of Whittenburg.

Funeral services are to be this afternoon at 4:30 at the First Baptist church, with Rev. J.N. Hunt officiating. Following the services the body will be brought back to the Carver funeral chapel and will be taken to East Point tomorrow.

Pallbearers will be Belton Chappel, C.A. Thorne, F.E. Martin, E.C. Bell, Walter Delameter, and Walter Beets.
