"Mrs. Minnie Morgan, 78, Paola, Kas., died Sunday at the state hospital at Osawatomie, Kas. She had been ill about a year. Mrs. Morgan was born and reared in Lenexa and had lived most of her life in Greater Kansas City. She was a member of the Community Christian church. She was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship, Utopian Club and Buddy's Friend, all organizations of the church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She leaves her husband, O. B. Morgan of the home; a son, Bert Allen Morgan, Navy Radar School at Millington, Tenn; a brother, E. Ross Allen of 5002 West Seventy-second terrace, Prairie Village; a sister, Mrs. Rena Laird of Temple, Tex.; and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday at the Community Christian Church. Burial will be in Lenexa Cemetery." The Kansas City Star, December 23, 1963
