Billy Gene Bush was the son of Lewis Woodbury Bush and Mabry Stout. Bill was adopted by them following the death of his Mother, Margaret Herring Layton in 1945. His father, Loren Layton, was tragically killed in a work accident in 1952.
Bill married (1) Linda Sue Johnson, October 7, 1966 in Bristow, Oklahoma. They had one son. Bill and Linda later divorced. He married (2) Cereatha (Sam) Ann Steffy September 15 1979. Following Sam's death, he married (3) Nina Francine Faye Hopkins Spear, April 1, 1996.
Bill passed away the morning of the 23rd of April in Enid, Oklahoma at the home of his brother. The family had gathered for Easter the previous Sunday and was grateful for that time together.
