Bob Abbet, 76, of Lebanon, died Thursday July 27, 2006, at St. John's Hospital-Springfield.

He was born July 2, 1930 in Crocker to Otto Abbet and Edith Mackney Abbet, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother.

On Sept. 9, 1950, he married Shirlie Farwell.

He was an independent insurance agent and was affiliated with the Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirlie Abbet; a son, Robert Abbet, of Branson; a daughter, Gay Kirtley and her husband, Jon, of Osage Beach; one sister, Lois Abbet Eads, of Richland; three grandchildren, Katie Abbet, Emily and Jake Kirtley; and other relatives and friends.

Services for Bob Abbet will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the Phillipsburg Christian Church with Wayne Loftin, Don Renken and Roger Tribble officiating.

Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Thieme-Shadel Funeral Service at Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Saturday to time of the service.
