Born Aug. 29, 1941, in Trenton, N.J., he was the son of the late Albert W. Godown Sr. and the late Gertrude Baldwin Godown.
He resided in Ringoes, NJ for most of his life until moving to Plains Township in 1993.
He was the manager at Harris Semiconductor, Mountaintop.
He was a 1959 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ and served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1966.
He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, West Pittston; the Kingston Post 395 of the American Legion; and the Goblers Knob Hunting Cabin of Laceyville.
He was formerly active in the Amwell Valley Little League, Ringoes, NJ.
He was a former member of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church of Ringoes, NJ; a former member and past president of the Amwell Valley Ambulance Corps, Ringoes, NJ and was a former member and past president of the East Amwell Township Board of Education.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Honeywell Godown; daughters, Linda S Eisele, Tatamy; Lesli Godown, Ringoes, NJ; a son, Edward Godown, Ringoes, NJ.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday from the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, John Ringo Road, Ringoes, NJ.
Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, NJ
