Allen "Pete" Peters lost his battle with numerous health issues, but he has won the Victory! Allen began his life here on this earth on August 6, 1937 in Crowville, LA and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 21, 2014. He is now in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

Allen was retired from the Louisiana State Police. At one time, he served as state President of the Louisiana State Troopers Association. The LSP was an organization he was so proud to be a part of.

Allen is survived by Charlotte Lynch Peters, his wife of 48 years. "This morning the most wonderful part of my life left this earth. Pete now joins other family members who have gone before him; his parents Garland and Mable Wroten Peters and his father and mother-in-law, O. B. and Mildred Lynch. He was the best person in my life; he was my precious husband, provider and most of all, my best friend. Pete faced many health problems over the years, but never gave up on the will to live. I will forever miss him. My heart is totally broken, but I prayed many times that God's will would be done and Pete would not have to suffer any longer. God has now answered that prayer."

He is also survived by siblings Kenneth (Betty) Peters, Lenora (Louis) Amedee, Reggie (Sybil) Peters, Lillian (Larry) Andrews, James Peters, Roy Peters (Lynette), Gary Peters and Karen Beach (Ronald). Other survivors include his brother-in-law Billy (Gloria) Lynch and numerous nieces and nephews. Special and close to his heart were niece Leigh Anne Gregory (Mike) their children Anna and Aaron and nephew Todd (Sarah) Lynch.

Visitation for Allen will be at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. A celebration of life service conducted by Dennis Aaron will be held Sunday, August 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Centuries.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Crain, Perry Smith, John Ballance, "Bubba" English, "Buster" Flowers and Rodney Arbuckle.

Memorials may be made to Open Range Fellowship Church in Greenwood or the Simple Church in Bossier City, LA.
