Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery, Lafayette, Louisiana, for Joyce Sonnier Thibodeaux, 89, who died on Thursday morning, April 18, 2019 at her residence in Lafayette.
Survivors include her son, Randy Thibodeaux of Lafayette, Louisiana; one brother Donald Sonnier of Carencro, Louisiana, and two precious grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Reeves Thibodeaux; her parents, George and Anna Louviere Sonnier, her daughter, Mrs. Gerald "Yvonne" LeBlanc of Atlanta, Georgia and four siblings.
A native and resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, Joyce was a devout Catholic and attended Mass at St. Genevieve Catholic Church. She also worked at St. Genevieve Elementary School in the Cafeteria Department. Joyce was a devoted wife and mother to her family, whom she cared for and loved very much. Her thoughtfulness, gentle touch and caring heart will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
