Henry Harrison Hansmire of Fairbury, Neb., died Jan. 22, 1963 in a Lincoln hospital at the age of 73 years.
He was born Feb. 7, 1890 at Reynolds, Neb., one of the four children of Henry Hansmire and Susan Riddle Hansmire.
A resident of Jefferson county all of his life, he attended school in the county, graduating from Reynolds high school. He took a short course at the University of Nebraska and then farmed in the Reynolds vicinity until 1948, when he moved with his family to Fairbury.
On June 17, 1913 he married Emily Priefert of Reynolds and to them four children were born.
Mr. Hansmire was a member of the Fairbury Methodist church and president of the board of Cooperative Creameries of Fairbury, Superior, Aurora and Fremont. He was a Master Mason, a member of the Elks and Rotary club and a past president of Rotary.
During and since World War II, he was a member of the Jefferson County Selective Service Board.
Surviving are his wife, Emily, son, Dr. Floyd Hansmire and grandchildren William, Susan and Julie Hansmire, all of Fairbury, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, two brothers and three children.
Funeral services were this, Thursday, afternoon in the Methodist church with the pastor, Rev. Homer Dickerson, officiating. Mrs. Frank Hall was organist. Members of the Rotary club attended the service in a group.
Pallbearers were C. B. Mickelsen of Superior, Lorenz Schroeder, John Rada, Wendell Sugden, Milbert Schroeder, Emil Meyer, John Maddern and C. C. McKay.
Burial was in the Fairbury cemetery.
