Georgia L. McCarty, (affectionately known as “Gamoo”), age 93 of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away April 14, 2019. She was born January 10, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri and she was the daughter of George and Cleo Thompson Gray.

Remembered by her family and friends as a great saleslady, Georgia owned and operated Arkansas Tempo (a background music company) for several years, and she also worked in furniture sales for many years. Among being a loving mother and grandmother, Georgia will also be remembered for her love for Oaklawn, fishing and going to garage and estate sales.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her son Mike McCarty; her sister Betty; and her brothers Walter, Ray and Claude.

Survivors include her children Don McCarty, Lynne Claude (Gary), John McCarty (Donna), and Pat McCarty (Cindy); fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her Good Shepherd Nursing home family.

A graveside service will be held at Noon, Friday, April 19, 2019 at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander. Arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home.
