Mrs. Shirley Failor, 61, of 1616 N. Fourth died at 2:11 p.m. Saturday (April 23, 1988) in St. Mary Hospital.
Mrs. Failor was born Feb. 4, 1927, in Quincy, a daughter of Albert H. and Ruth Romayne Drew Robinson. She married James R. Failor June 24, 1978, in Quincy. He survives.
Survivors also include a stepson, Marion James Failor of Loraine; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Joseph (Shirley) Thomas, Mrs. Wayne (Sandra) Powell, Mrs. Charles (Elizabeth Anne) Robinson and Mrs. Judy Stice, all of Quincy and Mrs. Donnie (Donna) Roberts of Loraine; a brother, Charles Robinson of Quincy; 18 step-grandchildren, Barbara Thomas, Mrs. David (Sherri) Crepps, Brenda Thomas, Wanda Thomas, John Thomas, Bryan Thomas, James B. Powell, James D. Robinson, Albert K. Robinson, Buzz Stice, and Raymond Stice, all of Quincy, James M. Failor of Shelbina, Mo., Dodie Failor, William E. Failor, Dana M. Failor, Heather Roberts and Johnny Roberts, all of Loraine, and Roger Failor of Camp Point; two great-step-grandchildren; an aunt, Mrs. Mabel Ketzler of Quincy; three nieces, three great-nieces; and a great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Albert Robinson.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home by the Rev. George Tomko. Inurnment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.
