Sherrel LaMar “Rod” Brower, 74, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, September 7, 2018 in his home in Cedar Hills, Utah. He courageously battled cancer for 2 years. He was born October 8, 1943 to Eva Noyes Brower & Paul LaFayette Brower in Burley, Idaho.

Rod was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a missionary in Samoa; Branch President at BYU in Provo, Utah; Bishop in San Jose, CA; Stake President in Auburn, CA.

He attended Brigham Young University and graduated from Weber State University. He also served in the U.S. Army as an officer in Germany and Vietnam. He made his living as an entrepreneur, primarily in marketing. He loved golfing, watching BYU sports, playing games & spending time with his family as often as possible.

He is survived by his wife, 5 children, 15 Grandchildren, 1 Great grandson, and 4 siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Ardis McDonald.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Cedar Hills 16th Ward, 10455 North Ironwood Drive, Cedar Hills, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior to services from 9:00 to 10:30 am. Interment in North Morgan Cemetery, 825 North 700 East, Morgan, UT.
