Nancy Sue Grubbs "Ma Mere", 84, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Nancy established roots in Baton Rouge but traveled the world extensively. Nancy was a strong independent woman with a large loving heart and a connoisseur of life. She was a model for the John Roberts modeling agency of New York. Nancy was one of the first flight attendants on the first jet powered passenger airplane before establishing her career as a Fashion Buyer. She retired from Godchauxs as vice president of merchandising. She went on to open a local gift shop Mouse Knees & Ant Ears, for 12 years. Nancy was a loyal friend and devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She loved her pets and was an avid gardener. Nancy will be dearly missed by all that knew her. She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter Kimberly Brumfield and husband James Dudley Brumfield. Grandson James Paul "JP" and his wife Samantha. Three great-grandsons James Paul "Tripp," Jethro Dylan "Jet," and Shepard Joseph. Preceded in death by parents Milton E. and Charlotte V. Gooldy, a brother and one Granddaughter Melissa Sue "Mimi" Brumfield.
