Shafter Crouse Graveside Services
Graveside services will be held March 22, at 9 a.m. at Mt. View Cemetery for Shafter H. Crouse, 80, ElCentro, by officers of the Calexico Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Crouse, a native of Illinois and resident of Imperial Valley was found dead in his home in El Centro on March 14. He came to the valley in 1925 and had worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad Co. as an agent-dispatcher in Mexicali and various Imperial Valley cities. He retired in 1969. He was formerly a longtime resident of Calexico. He was a member of Scribner Masonic Lodge No. 132, Scribner, Nebraska, and a lifetime Shrine member of Tangier Temple of Omaha, Nebraska.
He is survived by four brothers: Cecil Crouse of Hemet; Alfonso Crouse of Mclouth, Kansas; Gilbert Crouse of Washington Courthouse, Ohio; and Sherman Crouse of Lansing, Kansas.
