Josephine Kennard Josephine Kennard, 91, of Nelsonville, passed away November 13, 2005 at Logan Health Care Center in Logan. She was born March 16, 1914, in Athens County, the daughter of the late William and Anna Johnson Barnhart. She was married to the late Charles ?Muyr? Kennard for almost fifty years. He passed away in 1983. Josephine loved to knit, was a wonderful cook, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Gerald (Jessie) Kennard of Frost Proof, Florida, Greg (Karen Young) Kennard of Nelsonville, one daughter, Rosemary (Jack?John?) McClain of New Concord and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Charles ?Muyr? Kennard, sister?s Christine Traugh, Pearl Thompson, brothers Earl Barnhart and Stanley Barnhart. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1PM at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Pastor Dave Cogar officiating. Burial will be in Connett Cemetery.
