Jean T. Deters, age 74, Overland Park, KS, passed away Oct. 21, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House from complications of lung and brain cancer.
She retired from General Motors and Hen House/Price Chopper.
Jean was an active member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, participating in the weekly prayer group for the Divine Mercy revealed to Saint Faustina.
Jean was the beloved wife of Dorus Joseph Deters, and the loving mother of Margaret D. (husband, Mark) Halvorsen, Dorothy J. (husband, Bob) Wenze, and Joseph B. (wife, Kim) Deters. She was also the loving grandmother, "Duma," of Valerie J. and James W. Halvorsen.
Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 23, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., prior to Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at Queen of the Holy Rosary, 71st. St. and Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.
