Georgia graduated from Cherokee High School in 1956. She was a homemaker. Georgia enjoyed camping, hiking, sailing, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Hutchinson.
On February 24, 1957, she married Rodney Lew Sayers, Sr. in Cherokee, OK. They shared 62 years of marriage.
Georgia is survived by: husband, Rodney Sayers, Sr.; son, Rodney Sayers, Jr. (Rosemary); daughters, René Haley (Stanley), Beverly Mendoza (Paul), Rebecca Pugh (James); brothers, Ed Bible (Cathy), Richard Bible; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Albert Bible; sister, Clara Kirkland; and grandson, Benjamin Bates.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 408 Kent Road, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jay Bessmer officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
