Vicki Beckman, 72 years young, entered into life eternal, Sunday, April 7, 2019, in her home in Park Hills, MO with those who admired and loved her deeply. Vicki was born in Louisiana, Missouri on February 25, 1947, to the late Kenneth Sutton, Sr. and Dorris (Reed) Crites.

Vicki married the late John W. Beckman, Sr. on July 24, 1962, in the city of St. Louis. In August of 65, Vicki gave birth to long a waited pride and joy. A son John W. Beckman, Jr. Vicki and John together supported Johnny and the neighborhood friends, in sports, scouting, friendship, compromise and of course, fun. As a family, they enjoyed many outings and time together. Vicki enjoyed community activities, such as bowling and her Zeta X Sorority Sisterhood. There she shared with friends, her love of good food, talents in crafting, sewing, and painting. She tried to always do what she could for others. She always loved to spend time with good family and friends.

In retirement, Vicki and John loved spending time in their home on the lake. They enjoyed travel with family and they loved dearly every stray that adopted them. I recently read a quote Vicki wrote together they truly were…"We loved nature, we were both simple and serene." John, Jr. and ex-wife Denise, gave Vicki her second joys in life, granddaughters, Amanda Sue (fiancé Eric) and Lindsey Faye (fiancé Harold); great-granddaughters, Emma and Kiley. These baby girls brought smiles to her face and more joy than ever, especially these last few months. Vicki being the oldest only girl with brothers, turned her into the understanding mother, patient wife, trusting sister, best friend and confidant you could ask for. She will be missed always, by those whose lives were touched and loved by her.

She is also survived by brothers, Kenneth, Jr. (Kim), Gary (Tammy), Charles (Nancy) and John Patrick (Loann) Sutton; ex-daughter, Denise Peterson (Dave).

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Gerald, Michael, and Gregory Sutton.

There will be a Celebration of Life, April 20, 2019, per Vicki's wishes. It will be held at her home, she loved and cared for deeply. In place of money, gifts, or flowers, the family request you bring you favorite dish Vicki loved or would love. The meat and main dishes will be provided, with soft drinks. Vicki request guest to think and write for sharing, how you know Vicki and things you have done- laughs and all. Guest may start arriving at 11AM-2PM when food will be served. Randomly, stories, songs, and poems, will be shared aloud, if you choose.

Johnny, Amanda and Lindsey, would like to thank all of Vicki's loving friends and family who helped her and them, through this most difficult time. Know you are angels and loved.
